Spend controls
Spend controls allow you to control spending within customer accounts, in order to prevent fraud/unauthorized spending or to support budgeting and financial goals. Spend controls are implemented through the creation of rules that monitor the flow of funds from the account, and can be created by payment type. They can be set to automatically decline a transaction and/or create a case in Synctera Cases for further investigation/action. Spend controls can be created and maintained through API (see also API Guide) and the Synctera Console.

Full customer KYC history
In the Synctera Console, you can now see the entire KYC history of a customer. This will help your operations team navigate ambiguous situations, such as when the customer initially failed KYC and a case was created in Synctera Cases, but a KYC check was subsequently run and passed by the customer.
Deleted linked external accounts
We now show deleted linked external accounts in the Synctera Console to help operations teams monitor fraudulent cases where users used an account for funds transfer and subsequently deleted it.
Notes about frozen customers and accounts
Synctera Console users can now add notes when freezing a customer or an account. This helps keep all parties (you, your FinTech partner, and Synctera) informed about the reason for the freeze when one party freezes a customer.
View statements in Synctera Console
Statements are now available in the Synctera Console for checking account and line of credit products. This allows operations teams to view statement data for customer support and investigative purposes.
Chosen name
We now allow you to record and search by a customer’s chosen or preferred name.
Additional information for ACH transactions
When Synctera receives an inbound ACH transaction, now we expose the originator bank and ACH originator company description in the transaction details, in case you want to expose this information to your end customers.
Cash pickup for cannabis businesses
We now support cash pickup and deposit processing for cannabis retailers.
